The Ultra 20 TENS option has given me huge relief - Sophia's Success Story

The pelvic floor is extremely important in relation to incontinence. Yet only 38% of women who suffer from urinary incontinence admit to exercising their pelvic floor. Only 1 in 3 women speak to their doctor about urinary leakage; with 22% of women not even viewing incontinence as a health problem!

Sophie Claus began to suffer from incontinence following a total hysterectomy at age 32, leading to early onset menopause. But, she wasn't going to let the incontinence take over.

This is her story...

So many women struggle with urinary incontinence, for me it developed just 4 weeks after having a total abdominal hysterectomy. I had the hysterectomy for PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) and endometriosis, which I've had since I was 18. It was a tough decision to make but after struggling for so long, I'd hoped it would improve my quality of life.

Aged just 32, I felt panicked every time I coughed, sneezed or worked out, fearful about leaking.

I am possibly the biggest technophobe so when my Kegel8 Ultra 20 arrived I felt a bit scared of how technical it looked, however I needn’t have worried. The instructions and settings guide were easy and straight forward and a call with Emma in customer service helped me understand which settings would best suit the problems I’m encountering.

I’ve been using my Kegel8 Ultra 20 for eight weeks now, I often use it when I’m cooking dinner or reading/responding to emails.

The programme I’m using is a five day cycle, using the vaginal probe twice a day for three days and then pelvic exercise twice a day for two days.

I can already see a huge improvement.

No longer do I experience urinary incontinence when I cough, sneeze or laugh. I love that I no longer have to wear pads and I’m feeling more like me again.

In four weeks time I’m going switch settings and use the ‘Weekly Maintenance’ setting to maintain my great result.

In addition to improving my urinary incontinence the Kegel8 Ultra 20 is fab when it comes to pain relief as it has a TENS programme.

Since surgery I’ve struggled with lower back and pelvic pain.

So, I place the electrode pads on my buttocks and can use the programme for as long and as often as I need, it’s made me feel so much more comfortable.

This Ultra 20 TENS option has given me huge relief!
